These past weeks I’ve been listening to a Chinese song, 这是你期盼的长大吗. Honestly, I can pretty much relate to this song and I suppose many young adults out there can too, as I believe they are also striving to build their lives as they expected them to be.
How are you doing?
Has life been easy on you?
Have you won the battle?
I will proudly admit that I’m on my
way to win my battle.
Life has been mesmerizingly twisting
me over and over again.
My piece of advice for you to navigate
it all is to keep breathing and just give it your best shot.
If you miss the shot, you can always
take a time off, and give it another try.
You should deal with your own
chores, but you should also know that you are not the only one struggling and
striving.
Every living being out there is also
facing their kind of fight, their kind of struggle, and their kind of way to
overcome.
Turns out what once seemed glamorous
is not as dazzling as it may have seemed.
Turns out the freedom that you
longed for is, in fact, another kind of prison.
Turns out that carefree child who
longed to grow up is now an
anxious adult longing to turn back time.
Life is meant to be a chapter book,
and we are meant to accomplish each page before moving on to the next chapter,
and for finally able to close the book.
Life is meant to be a series of
riddles and mazes, and we are meant to get confused, keep going, and searching for
the way out.
Life is a complicated, interlocked
web, and its unpredictability can sometimes leave us in awe and worth a curse,
ooppsie..
I am reading through the book of my
life, longing for the moment when I win my battle and can finally voice aloud, THIS
IS WHY I WANTED TO GROW UP FASTER!
WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
KEEP BREATHING AND MOVE ON, FOLKS!
